for some Dell codes press Ctrl-Enter, not Enter, when entring code into the BIOS

Well on the HP 8460p I bought from eBay years back it was password locked but after some research there was a little program you could use via USB to pass the menu. Maybe by searching Google you'll find a similar solution. The other option is to replace the BIOS chip
