BIOSTAR Intros the X370GTN Mini-ITX Socket AM4 Motherboard

150$ sounds highly overpriced. I wouldn't pay more than 120 for this. Compare this to a 114$
ASRock Z270M-ITX/ac that has 8 usb ports, 2 gigabit INTEL lan controllers and wireless AC plus 2 hdmi outputs.

Not impressed at all so far.

Am i the only one who finds the AM4 brackets such an eye sore? lol

Well, considering they're going to either be removed or covered by just about any cooler you put on the chip, probably yes.

Biostar lame as usual, no WiFi?! REALLY??? This board would be Ok for an R5 or R3 but I wouldn't chance an R7 to it, unless running at stock - which I wouldn't. I/O seems lacking considering this is based off the x370, the x300 would prolly have been the better choice.

The best thing this board does is hopefully get the other MFGs moving with their options.

AMD: Tell your board partners to get off their asses and make proper enthusiast iTX boards, you wont get any $$$ from me & many others until then. Lost a sale to me last cycle for this exact reason.

For the love of god, who the hell wants a motherboard maker to spend money on an utterly USELESS built-in wifi chip, when you either won't use it at all (gaming) or you can plug in a $20 USB thumb wifi adapter? I specifically avoid motherboards with built-in wifi, because I want the company to put that extra $$ into better caps, higher quality sound chip, etc. Get over the insane fetish with built-in wifi, please. It's like complaining your RAM doesn't have LEDs.

Isnt the m2 slot reduced to 2x if you use them too?

If it uses 2 SATA ports from the CPU directly, you can only get x2 for the NVMe. If they use on 1 SATA from the CPU, you can still run the NVMe at x4. Then you will only get a few more SATA from the chipset for a total of 3 or 4 on the board.

Those two large Caps at the end of the PCI-e slot are a disaster waiting to happen, how long until a few are bent or knocked off the board.
