Blocking DLSS

Stating facts is one thing, applying the right context & perspective is another, and that's where objectivity happens if you do it right.
And I did just that that's why your reply was boohoo. How did game works ever affect you as an amd user? Which game works game run 50 % better on nvidia cards?

My only issue is Nvidia fanboys are acting like we are blocked from playing a game if you don't like DLSS not being included vote with your wallet it's not complicated.
I did vote with my wallet. This thread exists because there are still people pretending that amd is not responsible or that they are responsible but they are doing the right thing. I don't freaking care if no game has dlss ever again, I just won't buy it, but let's stop acting like amd isn't responsible for these shenanigans.

You're still crying about the loss of DLSS
Claiming that someone is crying about literally the topic of this thread is objectively not the compelling argument that you seem to believe it is.

The crying happened a month ago and now we have DLSS mod before Starfield even launch.
Maybe you should just keep quiet and reap the benefit from other people's crying :D

The thing is I like to play a lot on my 3 amd laptops. If Nvidia starts pulling these kinds of shenanigans and blocks fsr on their nvidia sponsored games, I'm screwed. I'll have to send my laptops to the recycle bin.

Currently adding fsr on nvidia sponsored games is of course free advertising for nvidia. You can directly compare it to dlss and laugh your ass off

Nvidia doesn't even acknowledge AMDs existence anymore I doubt they'll waste money doing that. Yes they dropped the terrible 4060ti 16GB price by 50 usd but that card was already trash before the 7800XT was announced.

FSR2 was concluded to be garbage at 1080p/1440p by HUB, I guess most PC gamer crybabies can sleep easy now knowing that gaming companies are finding ways to circumvent anti-consumers contracts, or AMD just drop the anti-consumers BS themselves since it's not working out the way they wanted to anyways

This whole thing is of course a decision from the marketing dep, and as usual the rtg marketing is just so laughably terrible I have no idea what they are thinking. Somehow they think they will increase sales by pulling this kind of crap. They totally lost me though, I'm not touching amd again even if my life depends on it. I've spent 6k in the last 3 years for amd hardware, yeah, regretted it but it's done now, but it ain't happening again. Good riddance.

Nvidia fanboys when 20 fps in Cyberpunk 2077 with RT override, dlss and fg mandatory to even make it playable : I sleep

Nvidia fanboys when 59 fps in Starfield : NOOOOOOOOO !!!1!!!1!!!!, muh DLSS, I feel sick, AMD unoptimized garbage

And it was never proven, need to try a lot harder just like the OP
Tbf it's hard to prove unless you've signed on the dotted lines personally or have access to such agreements!

To be fair I love RT Overdrive in CP2077 and it's one of the only games I can tolerate frame generation....

Like I said previously if you don't like what a developer is doing don't buy thier game.

A good example for me of the opposite is I had no plans to buy Alan Wake 2 but then they showed it off supporting ray reconstruction and now I'm on board again it isn't complicated.

Somebody paid somebody else to favour their product. News at 11!

Both AMD(ATI) and Nvidia have provided "free" development support to game developers for decades by now. Any game you see either the Nvidia or AMD logo during startup have been tinkered with by that company.

At least it is a vendor-agnostic solution this time. Not the usual vendor locked shenanigans. But of course some people will whine since it is not their preferred solution. There always are. And it is the same solution as always, just use a mod.

Ah, was expecting you.

No evidence whatsoever 1111eleven

Why are you still defending this and making irrelevant points? Cyberpunk looks 50 times better than starfield, and Nvidia didn't pay anyone to block or even remove amd features. Stop defending these practices, ffs, the amd fans are just unreasonable

Someone paid somebody else to remove work that is already done. Yes, to me honestly, that's unheard off. Ah nvidia optimized this game to work well on their cards? Now I sponsored you, delete all the work that you've done so it runs like crap on nvidia.

Yay, totally reasonable.

Oh please, you bring up these inane hot takes every fortnight or so!

I Dont Know Guy Pearce GIF

Did AMD electrocute your goldfish or something :wtf:

Yes, that's why I've spent more money on amd hardware the last 3 years than you've done your entire life

Please take your fanboy bs somewhere else, doesn't work on me.

And what the fuck does your amount of money spent have anyhting to do with this? You bring these insane points & have very little to back them up! Just like your fucking take that Intel is more efficient than AMD :shadedshu:

Don't run away when you don't have data to backup your claims!

My take is neither are more efficient than the other, you need to be more specific. Lots of Intel cpus are more efficient than AMD and vice versa. If you are talking strictly out of the box then yes, Intel is more efficient cause they have 35w cpus like the 13900t. That's not even up for discussion.

How is that relevant to this thread? DF is one of the biggest hardware reviewers out there, amd themselves invited them a few days ago to present their new fg technologies. If they are saying devs are removing dlss cause of amd sponsorship then I tend to belive them.

Maybe you're not doing it on purpose but you do come off as a blind lover of all things Nvidia/Intel.

And spending money on a particular brand means absolutely nothing. I like intel products but haven't purchased anything they've made in 4 generations whenever they make a products I find compelling enough to purchase I'll be on dat was hoping it was Meteorlake but that's sounding like a disaster.

CP2077 looks better runs worse, Starfield looks worse runs better, there is nothing shocking here yet people have wildly different reactions. I'd be more mad that the most expensive video cards money can buy can barely run some games without upscaling or interpolating frames. These things should have been used to make slower cards achieve higher framerates not to help the fastest ones achieve playable framerates, it's totally backwards.

Then we need to see the dotted lines ~ like Kyle at [H] presented IIRC for Gameworks(?) back in the day.

Not buying something you like isn't the same as buying. You think I hate amd but spent a truckload of money buying amd hardware? Does that really make sense to you?

But I agree, I do come off as nvidia / intel. That's strictly because all over the freaking internet amd fans are just so pro amd it's disgusting.

What is this game works nonsense again? Did I have to run tessellation on my amd card back in the day? No. Could I just turn it off completely or tune it to my likings? Yes. So did it affect me the slightest? No

So wtf are you talking about? Game works is a feature paid by nvidia to be added to games, not a feature paid by nvidia to remove from games like amd does.

so AMD has been sabotaging PC gaming all along (since they are more focused on consoles nowadays).

and we have PC gamers actually supporting what AMD is doing?

Btw the DLSS Mod is the most downloaded mod for Starfield LOL
Thanks, I had no idea it existed because I try to not face spoilers from any websites xD
Thanks for the link. The 3070TI from my laptop will thank you too I guess.

Not true. Cyberpunk looks and runs better. You can turn rt off you know, starfield doesnt have it. Oh, and of course cyberpunk runs like a dream on amd hardware when it comes to raster.

And no AMD fanboys, paying a game dev company to PURPOSEFULLY REMOVE an already implemented feature (allegation against AMD regarding DLSS and FSR) is NOT the same as paying a game dev company to implement a NEW feature (NVIDIA with GameWorks, PhysX, etc.). The former is clearly anti-competitive behaviour while the latter is not, so if you attempt to equivocate the two you are lying, plain and simple.
I love quoting myself, it proves that most people don't read.

That's not the topic of this thread, it's whataboutism that's attempting to move the goalposts. I've already reported one of your posts here as completely unconstructive trolling - if you can't or won't honestly discuss the topic at hand, remove yourself.

And the last 3 laptops I bought were Intel. Must be nice living in that head space where you can cook so much stuff up so easily!

It was GPP ~

And that's the last time I reply to you, good luck with your BS & waving off how much more you can spend than others!

It would be fine if the games was to graphics in 2023 as what Crysis was to graphics in 2007, but looking at the videos of Starfield and Immortals of Aveum they are very much not, not in 2023.
