Blu-ray problem please help

Are you using your laptop screen and external LCD at the same time? You might have to set it to only use the external display, as the video will only play if the player is on the primary display which is your laptop LCD unless you disable it.

yes im only using one screen at a time i will try downloading another program tomorrow thanks for the help so far :)

yes i updated the blu-ray player. well should i rma it or do you think i can get it working i would love to keep it LOL.

Did you update your Video drivers?

Open up PDVD about box and take a screenshot and post here. Let me see which file you have to update.

I think there are 2 different versions that popup when you first install PDVD, but you just need to install the second, as the first one is buggy. I have to find the file name and I will post it.

cant get it to work im RMAing it :( o well $140.00 in my pocket lol. thanks to every one for helping :)

i know this might be too late, but with the PowerDVD 7 series there were at least 5 versions, one that did only HD-DVD, one that did just Blu-ray, then a "ultimate" version that did both HD formats, plus the regular versions that did only dvd's. Double check that your player is the blu-ray version. The player also might require an update to the AACS license, which unfortunately i don't know too much more about that, other than it has to do with a portion of the copy-protection mechanisms.
