Boot Failure Troubleshooting Flowchart

It helps when you know how a computer boots

I learnt it over the years with gnu linux, especially suse, redhand and gentoo. I did not bother much with windows 11. Windows 10 was kinda similar regarding booting also. (well the hardware is the same - so all uefi knowledge - bootloader yes / no and so on .. all applies - regardless if its gentoo from teh gentoo handbook or windows 10 laptops which i was forced to fix weird boot issues)

Can you copyright common knowledge?
You can copyright a specific presentation of it. Geographic maps, for example. Or this one (made by 5W Infographics for National Geographic):

I saw that one years ago and frankly, as a technician, I was not impressed then, and I'm not impressed now.

For a simple example to illustrate how bad it is, start at the top with the "Power Supply (PSU) Failure" section and follow this path:
  • Power comes on? Yes
  • Live screen? Yes
  • New Build? Yes
  • Check power requirement vs rating
That's it! End of the flow!

Dont seem useful for me since common sense usually fixes things.

You mean uncommon sense now, most come here and lack any sense.

Yeah I was looking at it too. Not very good. Might as well say "bring it to local shop" at the end of each one.

Also it's in a dark theme. Do people usually troubleshoot their PCs in the dark?

It's for those who know in advance their PC is going to die. This way, they print it out and use up all their black ink/toner beforehand. ;)
