As I was making my first Steam Destination VR to record the apartment our baby was born, I got an idea of using VR to show casing real estates to buyers. My wife is a real estate manager, so I pitched the idea to her. We tried a few of the available real estate showing VR available on youtube and boy was it worth it. Just need to invest in a 360 camera and you are good to go. To make it interactive in Vive will be a bit more challenging. However just a Vive based HD VR tour is way better than any 2D video or pictures. So we experimented a tour with one of her elderly counple client. They were basically blown away by how real it feels. Looks like the Vive can start paying for itself then.

Check out the Matterport Camera. Works very well and has all the software to create 3d Virtual Tours. The camera is $4k now, used to be $6k when I got one.
