broken GTX770 4GB

i just got from a friend a MSI GTX770 4Gb... the card was pulled off from a system with a broken cpu liquid cooler and it was a bit affected by the spillage... i teared apart the card and washed with pure alcohol (99%) and left to dry and reapplied new paste an tested the card... the card is working without nvidia drivers (just with generic vga drivers in w7) but when i install nvidia drivers the pc just crashes...
So the card can be fixed or it's broken and it's good for nothing?

It can be fixed if you have a digital multimeter, handy with a soldering iron and posses the right components to replace those that are most likely fried on the board. Some knowledge in electronics or computer sciences would also help.

If none of this is applicable to you -- Just toss the card. You have a 980Ti anyway, its no loss. sell it on ebay as faulty/for parts etc etc

That means no 3D acceleration. Nothing much to do about it, unless you have something like an IR station so you can replace the BGA chip.

Try different version drivers.
I've had an 8600GT that would only work within a very limited assortment of drivers. The moment I tried to use an older/newer version I got a black screen. Besides that, the card worked flawlessly in everything.
As a last-ditch effort, you could also try to bake the card.

The card isn't verified to be working when you can boot with it and get it running on generic VGA. For all you know its just internal passthrough of the signal that is generated by the CPU's internal GPU.

It's broken. Throw in recycle bin. To troubleshoot a card with a multimeter would require the cards schematics and values...

Not worth time or energy.
