Thanks almighty guru! Perseverance is what I lack lol... I just hate to admit a cpu degrades but a little help from the right ppl made it all worthwhile. I'm still looking for a z97 board ;)

Id like to mate this cpu with the chip set its intended for.

the only reason I bring the subject of the "auto" voltage up is that on some boards if you change the multi/base clock and leave the voltage on ""auto"" it will shoot a bunch of voltage though it I had it happen with this board and a z97 pc mate
glade you got it squared 4.8 is still pretty good lol
