So, what is it that you are looking for?

You don't have a motherboard or PSU listed, is that what you want recommendations on? Perhaps you want to ask about 3d or graphics options?

1) Do not double post. That box in the lower right rand called "Edit" will allow you to add whatever you need to add.

2) If you have a question ask a question. If you're making a statement, make it. As it stands, I haven't the slightest idea of where to start offering advice...

What do you use your PC for. Your current rig has the horsepower for probably any activity. The only weakness in your current rig is your video card. But if you don't game that isnt a problem. Maybe up the ram to 8 GBs, but that isnt even essential.

@ hassell I didnt double post,a moderator deleted his posts. ill be gaming and browsing the internet.i hope to be able to play battlefield 3 on max graphics but id probably need sli or crossfired cards.
@ dent lol you helped me build my last pc, I wont be using any cpu intensive programs like 3d object viewing ect, ill just be using it mainly for the internet and playing games.didnt have time earlier to put in the gpu I was getting, im either gonna get a 6950 2gb or a 560ti 1gb, the 6950 would be the prefered card but the 560ti is powerful enough, cheaper and has better 3d options. The ram is 8gb too so thats enough I would think.

Il gonna get an ssd while im waiting for the hdd to get cheaper since those floods, ill get the m4 64gb mainly for windows 7 and save bearly everything else on a 1tb hdd when their cheaper

Im using a phone to type this so my typings pretty bad.

You won't need SLI or CF. Anything from a single 6790 to a 6850 to an Nvidia GTX 560 non ti can run Battlefield 3 at ultra settings at 1080p.

The M4A785TD motherboard is Crossfire ready, so logically the 6950 CF is the cheaper and most feasible option. To change boards just for SLI would negate any financial savings of the 560ti. Personally I would get the 6850 CF for best price/performance in CF.

My assessment is based on you keeping your current rig. Your current rig is fine. You only need a new video card.

Moving from a Phenom II X6 to a Core i5 will not benefit you for casual internet browsing or even BF3 - it's just an unnecessary expense for little to no performance gain. The headache and financial cost makes the idea even less practical.

Looking at Techspot, the i5 2500K 3.3GHz vs the Phenom II X6 1100T 3.3GHz, get exactly the same frame rate. Heck even the old Phenom II X2 and Intel i3 has the same frame rate. Which hammers home what I'm saying. As long as you have a adequate CPU (which you do) you won't see a worthwhile improvement. Concentrate on the GPU and save your money.

If you find a good deal, the GTX 560Ti is a good idea of you are switching to Intel as you can enjoy SLI.

If you are keeping your current system, you should go ATI for CF down the line.

the hd6870 is really cheap you could crossfire that relatively inexpensively or even 6790's if you want a single card get a 6950 and crossfire it when prices come down that card should be more then enough to run bf3...i run bf3 ultra settings just fine with 2 hd4890s i can fraps on high settings and not get fps lag crossfire is a big boost in performance if you have the mobo for it dont go with a nvidia card as stated above.. it really depends what you decide to do

I agree, a single card can play BF3 on ultra fine. Think this is the best choice financially. I know the idea of crossfire is appealing but it isnt needed. If later down the line you decide you want crossfire get any cheapo 785G or 880G Chipset motherboard or 990FX chipset if you want better Bulldozer/Piledriver support as well.

Edit:

Coming from a GTX 280. I think you should get a 6950 or faster if you're only running 1 card.

In theory the 7200RPM would be better. But it'll depend on the two hard drives in question. I'd concentrate on capacity as the difference between one mechanical hard drive to another isn’t that great.
