Can any graphics card ever be overkill?

I say the hell with waiting for a EK water block. Throw the stock heat sink back on and lets see some benchmarks.:toast:
Quad GPU scaling may suck but if you look in the top left corner you will see a crossfireX PCB connector. Can we say 8 GPU's:laugh:

Just got done looking around the net and all I could find on this card is that it is the newest 40nm tech coded RV870 and is being called the 5870x4. I've seen a few threads stating it will go to market Q3 this year.
Still want to see some bench marks, but you would think that if it was going to be here so soon that we would see some benches floating around by now.
But back on topic with windows 7 comming out supporting DX11 and now were seeing these power plants of gfx cards comming out. I wonder if their are games in production at the moment utilizing DX11 and are going to require this kind of horse power to run with max settings.
Goes to show ya that nothing is really future proof. I just really hope that DX11 isn't so slow to take over, unlike DX10 which still has not fully accomplished taking over DX9.
But anyways if anyone can find more info on this card please post.
