might be able to mod the cpu to run a higher fsb or something, i wouldn't. laptop wouldn't be able to handle the extra heat output i would think

I would not try, but you might be able to with Clockgen.

im afraid the answer is in 2 parts and i agree with everyone who already posted, yes you can but the laptop cannot cope with the increase in heat output

laptops are clocked at low clocks not because they cant clock higher but because they output mass amounts of heat and have to be passive cooled most of the time

if you had a external cooler it might e possible but i wouldnt bother your not goign to get much more from your lappy, i can think that possibly getting linux like xubuntu would run faster than xp vista due to it needing less resources and good coding

Use ati tool to overclock the graphics card. Works a treat.

About the CPU OC, you cannot overclock it in BIOS as Dell lock it out. There are only limited overclocking programs in windows (ie clockgen), but they tend to not be as good.

your performance gain is probably not worth tinkering with the settings, However, if you wanted to do tweaking, you would probably be better off configuring XP where it doesnt use as many resources, and using in-game tweaks.
