some are IDE some are Sata or Sata II. check the sorting category, Interface Type from the newegg link below:

Very fast access times, but verrrrrrry expensive right now. The 8GB's are well into $100 and up.

Imagine using RAM as a hdd, that kinda fast or not as fast but damn fast.
