Hi, I' just a newbe and don't know much about flashin video cards. All I've done and all I know till now is your fault (he he) since I got addicted to reading this forum.

So I decided to mess a little bit with my PC's and Mac ( I work on both of them).
Here's the matter: as you will see I have a ATI (supposed ???) video card that I took from an old PC in the office but to flash itI should know what it is.

I suppose it's a radeon 9000 64 MB with TV out but not very much more. The mem is EtronTech (xxxxxx-4) and the chip should be ACT 86 PCH209.

I put some pics so that some of you gentlemen can gimme help to identify it right.

Thanks a lot and compliments to the stuff from Italy

Harold

Put it in a computer and use ATItool to find out what exactly it is?

First, thanks all for help. It's a good idea, (I just didn't do it at once, it's my fault) but actually I didn't get my PC at home, only Mac, but after reading your replies I used ATI Dumper for Mac (it usually says something like : ATI 128pro xx, ATI 9200, etc) getting these 2 files (attached) that call the card "pci174b,7192". The text file says something useful I suppose like:

flashRomTypePStr "ST M25P10 SEPROM"
and

• ATIPCIdevice.PCIServiceDevice
flags $0000001F
flags & kFlagsInitialized true
flags & kFlagsGotRegEntry true
flags & kFlagsGotBaseAddress0 true
flags & kFlagsGotATIRegAddress true
flags & kFlagsGotExpansionROMBase true
flags & kFlagsGotGDeviceInfo false
vendorID $1002
deviceID $4966
revisionID $01
name "pci174b,7192"
model ""
slot ""
driverName ""
ATIRegAddress $90000000
baseAddress0 $98000000
expansionROMBase $90020000

I admit, as you know, I'm not able to understand these values, but maybe you are.
Anyway I have the chance to try with ATI Tool on a PC as soon as I can.

Thanks again for now
