I think it could but another guy on DFI's forums says it wont.

I have sitting in front of me a 2GB of this stuff. Currently, my dad is running this ram with the following specs:

AMD Opteron 165 @2.7GHz w/Arctic Freezer Pro 7 S939
DFI Lanparty UT nF4 Ultra-D
BFG 8800GTS 640MB (G80)
OCZ 600w PSU
Windows Vista Home Premium x64

Need to know if both those kits will work nicely together. If so, im throwing them together.

I think the real issue is stability of 4 sticks running on the ultra-d. I say, if you set the timings in bios to the loosest kits specs, they should in theory work together.

Edit: upon further examination of your specs...I will warn you they may /mosl likely wont clock as far together!

Cheap isnt a word found when purchasing DDR...sorry to say it , but it really draws a premium.

My guess is start a thread here and keep an eye on ebay!

I say try it first...both are great kits from OCZ's line...it may suprise you!

That set of gold is the result of a fourth RMA. Those just happened to work.

TBH ,I never ran 4 sticks on my DFI SLI-DR. AthlonX2 did so with no issues on his expert. I say its going to have more to do with the memory controller than the mobo itself!


RMA or not if they run at rated speeds or better its worth a try! IfI had the option sitting here I'd give it a go myself. And with Vista64 it will be worth the jump, even if you need a lower divider to OC!
