Can you guess Which game it is?

since no one can guess mine, it is Original War

very fun old rts game from 2001, that still holds up well. doesn't scale very well with higher rez monitors, but at 27" 1440p it still plays and looks great

I have never heard of this. And it's designed by Vlaada Chvátil????? WTF

it often goes on sale for 99 cents during the main steam sales, so maybe add it to your wishlist and give it a whirl someday

it's actually a really cool story too, disclosure i only ever played the campaign, never any of the multi stuff. so can't speak for that. apparently the multi still gets updated to this day though, cause i have seen it update in steam a few times in recent years

My favorite part is the wikipedia page citing that, and I quote - “The game received a PEGI 18 rating, citing discrimination.” What the hell…?

Lol the hardware specs vs the OS is pretty laughable has anyone tried running Windows 10 on 256MB of ram

I tried Win7 Home 64-bit. While the official minimum requirements are 2 GB, I was able to launch it on only 512 MB. However, the system was completely unusable.

I tried with 256 MB, but the OS wouldn't even start, showing a bluescreen on launch. I wonder if someone managed to run a modern non-consumer version of Windows on 512 MB or less?

Define modern? Older Embedded Compact ones were doable. I have no idea if one can butcher an IoT install these days enough for 512.

Define modern?
For me it means any OS that still receives updates, so NT 6.0+.

From what I could find, none of the Embedded Compact OSes are supported as of today. Their immediate successor -- 10 IoT -- officially requires 1 GB of RAM for the 32-bit version.
