Hey guys quick question I can't find a definitive answer. Can you run WoW on some form of free OS with AMD 7870LE gpu.

Looking to build a dirt cheap computer for my cousin who only plays WoW(Laptop), and rather not spend $100 on W10...

I also will be selling my 7870LE for cheap to her. Just tested on Ultra got 110-180fps depednig on shadow quality and SAOO.

If I could it would be fun to try and get my old Intel Q6600 rig to run it and give that to her as it's just sitting in a closet, only downside it only has DDR2 4GB RAM.
If I can't use my old rig, I will just use some cheap AMD Vishera stuff as WoW is not very demanding.

The default "radeonsi" driver is actually pretty good, so it should work just fine.

One of my colleagues playing WoW on Ubuntu, he said it works pretty well although performance on Windows is somewhat better.
