So I tried driver sweeper, now I have no graphics driver or a way to install a new one.

The installmanager app crashes after hitting install/uninstall.

Make sure all your . nets are installed and up to date..
I would try running windows update first.GL:toast:

No luck with windows update : [

try from safe mode, or try reinstall the old driver again then uninstall it, it looks something is missing so it refuse to uninstall. does it works

This happened to me once when I went to an older driver.

Try to install another version driver.

sorted. eventually the os pointed out the app could be crashing due to microsoft visual studio 2005, so I patched that and all is well now : ]

thanks everyone.

Why would Driver Sweeper delete / remove System Restore unless ya Selected All to be Cleaned. The Only thing to be cleaned is Display Drivers specifically ATI. and /or nVidia.

Windows would boot up normally and automatically use the Standard VGA Driver .

Guess you can say .. went alittle too far and cleaned house with Driver Sweeper.

Well ..you always heard people should make a Back-Up of their Hard Drive or make sure they have a System Restore Point before doing stuff they are unfamiliar with.

Sorry that it had happen to you Pal ...

But you'll get it running.

Open device manager and select "show hidden devices". Uninstall all hidden graphic cards too.
