Cannot see/enter BIOS setup in any way

Problem: I can't enter the BIOS setup - the screen is just blank. Windows 10 boots fine. I need to set things that can't be set elsewhere than in BIOS like Virtualization.

HW: Ryzen 9 3900X (so no integrated GPU), mobo Asus x570-p with latest BIOS 1407, GPU Sapphire RX 580 8GB, TV Samsung NU8000 via HDMI

Tried: disabling Fast boot, different HDMI cables, BIOS update, a PC monitor via HDMI and DVI, clearing CMOS, entering BIOS via Windows 10 Advanced boot, moving the GPU to the other PCI-X slot.

Weird: I DID manage to enter BIOS setup like once or twice after I've built the PC. Not since. The most I am able to see is the Asus logo with "Press F2 or Del to enter setup" OR, after clearing CMOS, the AMI BIOS post screen which says "the vga card is not supported by uefi driver".

Any ideas besides a different GPU which is very tricky right now? Thanks!

thanks but no, as I already stated, I tried that: “entering BIOS via Windows 10 Advanced boot.” Not working. Also, I WAS able to press F2 to enter the BIOS even with Fast Boot enabled, I don’t know if that’s normal or not.

If you're going in to BIOS often you can re-program the reset button to enter BIOS instead of resetting the system under Flex Key option in the BIOS. Shame the motherboard doesn't have DirectKey on it so you could use that, I got it on old Z87 Sabertooth. Should be useful at least for some testing, when you need to enter BIOS a few times in a row, then re-program it back to resetting.

No I’m not sure to be honest. That had happened to me recently on both Intel and AMD.. kind of weird. I did have an old acer monitor that had an hdmi input that I could use, but couldn’t see the bios using the hdmi port of my GTX 580, but could see it with hdmi on my tv.

On Asus boards (and others) you should be able to get into BIOS by tapping delete during startup.

Yea, taking out NVMe drive works, after messing with USB and taking out everything except keyboard/mouse but what if I need to reinstall windows ? Got no idea why this happen.. maybe my GPU take too much power and it need to boot again. I ve got no clue what is going on but hope its not dangerous to compenents :((

The Bios should have an update program you can use, just make sure you don't lose power or signal if on wi-fi.

Hi!
Had the same problem just this morning with my new monitor MSI MAG274QRF-QD and an "old" GTX 1080... you need to run this NVIDIA tool under windows:

It will determine wether your graphics card needs updating, and update Display Port behaviour accordingly, and then problem gone, without activating or changing anything in Bios.
Previously, the solution was to activate CSM or put it in Auto mode if I'm not mistaken.

Hope this helps, solved the issue for me. It also depends on the mobo BIOS and monitor, since it worked perfectly with my old monitor (Asus PA279Q), and problem showed up when I change my monitor 3 days ago.
