Can't enable Secure Boot, due to GOP problem, please help!

I've recently updated to windows 11 (TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot were turned on for that of course) but after the update when I tried to play Valorant, it said that either the TPM or Secure Boot were not on, after checking, turned out Secure Boot was disabled. I tried enabling it in BIOS, so I changed the boot option to be UEFI, instead of LEGACY+UEFI and rebooting, but after that I was getting the error "CSM is Loaded! Disable the CSM in Setup. Repeat the operation after Reboot to ensure UEFI Video (GOP) driver is operational" when trying to enable Secure Boot. When I clicked just OK and restarting, my BIOS was disabled/dead but clearing CMOS was bringing it back to life (I tried multiple times). Anyways. the question is what do I do now, since this is one of the main games I play and I don't want to go back to Windows 10. The weird thing is, how did I have Secure Boot turned on with Windows 10, but with with 11, it shows this weird problem.

MB: MSI Z370 Tomahawk, flashed to it's latest bios version - 7B47v1B2 (tried with 2 older versions beforehand, same problem there)
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1070FE, with vbios version - 86.04.26.00.01
GPU-Z shows UEFI ticked a.k.a my GPU is UEFI Ready
Windows system information shows BIOS Mode as UEFI

You say bios dead/disabled, how do you know, did you turn fast boot off and turn option rom messages back on default is off ,are you seeing anything at all during boot, and try without any drives plugged in at all first.

I think windows 11 will allow install if it detects that the system is Secure Boot "capable" even if it's not actually enabled. Which means secure boot might not have actually been enabled when you were in win10.
From what I understand, you can't have Compatibility Support Module(s) (CSM) enabled for Secure Boot (cause... otherwise yea the old MBR stuff using the CSM pre-dates all that DRM ... feature).

That said, assuming your video card is UEFI compliant and has the GOP (which you said it does) it should at least show a POST screen when you turn off CSM.

There is one pretty obscure edge case that might affect you - are your monitor(s) connecting using DisplayPort on that 1070? I doubt this is it but : https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/nv-uefi-update-x64/

So I forgot to mention and sorry about that, that in my BIOS it says - BIOS Mode: CSM
"Boot mode select" is UEFI
GOP driver in BIOS shows as Unknow Driver

Yes, I turned the fast boot option off, but my PC doesn't show anything when booting, it brings me directly to OS. I just checked and did not see such an option for ROM messages. And by "try without any drives plugged in at all" do you mean without GPU? I'm kind of new in these things, I know some of the settings, but not all, sorry.

I'm sorry for the confusion, as I mentioned above BIOS Mode shows as CSM but in order for me to turn on Secure Boot, as far as I understand, it want's me to change it to UEFI.
I tried with the nv-uefi-update link and I was needing it, but it didn't fix the problem.

Well if it loads the OS it booted through the bios OK.

If you're issue is you can't then get back into the bios you can get to it via the OS by selecting the advanced startup then choosing uefi bios reboot.

It's in control panel/updates / recovery.

As for drive's unplugged I meant storage drive's, you need a GPU to boot at all.

I tried to go into the BIOS with the advanced startup option, but then it's just black screen. When I pressed Del to get into BIOS on start up, again just black screen. It's like I'm in the BIOS but I have no picture, it's just black screen.
And do the storage drives have anything to do with "Unknown GOP driver" in BIOS settings?

Just of out curiosity, do you have another monitor or another type of cable for your monitor?
I noticed that if my primary display happen to be my 4k monitor over Displayport, UEFI never displays anything, its like its dead until the OS loads. However if works just fine if I unplug it and it defaults to one of my other monitors (which is also DP, but 1080p). Why this is I have no idea but it had me confused for a while a year back or so.

I would say "screw you" to any game that wants to tell me how I should configure my PC.

I have 2 monitors, one is DP, 1440p, 144hz and the other is HDMI, 1080p, 60hz. So you are saying I should try unplugging my HDMI and trying to change to Secure Boot like that?

Sure, but me and my girl are playing only 2 games, and Valorant is one of them, since her PC is kind of old. So it gets pretty boring playing only one game, you know. Plus I enjoy Valorant, since it's FPS and that's what I've been playing my whole life.

Well, if it's a bonding activity, that changes things. Still fps games a dime a dozen (ok, not really). Play Fortnite instead, I guess? :P

Is your monitor connected via display port, try HDMI, it's likely outputting to the hdmi , mine does this.

It's outputting to the DP monitor (my main one) normally, only when I try to change from CSM to UEFI, I get black screen, which as I said before fixes, when I clear the CMOS.

To sum it up, I do think that my problem is with GOP driver and not my BIOS or monitor/s, but I will try all the advices I get, since I don't want to update my vBIOS, until it gets down to only that option.

I will now try to switch to UEFI again and leave only my HDMI monitor plugged in, to see what happens (I do believe it will be the same problem, since it's GOP driver error), and will update this post with the outcome.

Update:
It worked, BIOS showed as normal, when I had only my HDMI cable plugged in, and GOP showed too. Thank you for the help and sorry that I doubted this solution, it just sounded weird to me. Tanks again! ^^

No problems, glad you are sorted.

Holy this post literally safe my life I dont know how its even make sense but its work Just change the dp port to hdmi and it just go fine, thought i will miss valorant forever

Also If you want to use dp to boot ur pc, Try to update vbios from nvidia website or vga websit It will fix black screen while booting with dp instead using hdmi to turn on pc

Geeeeeze Lou-eeeeeeeeze, I spent so much time trying to figure out how to disable CSM on a asrock x570 phantom gaming 4 without it freezing on splash screen. I needed to do so to turn on resizable bar. Turns out this post also saved me. I just switched from DP to an HDMI and that was it...... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you.
