I currently have a TT Soprano case (w/o window) but I am wanting to get a side window for it. Do you think they may sell them separate? If not, it means new case time. Anyone know of a good case that comes with temperature and fan monitoring? I saw a few APEVIA (Aspire) ones on newegg, but none are very appealing.

you could cut one. and whist your at extra fan holes etc. think there is an article on here somewhere

The only TT side panels I've seen are only for the Armor and Khandolf. As far as cases with built in temp/fan control (other than apevia) The NZXT Nemesis and Lexa lines have it, if those appeal to you.

Edit: there is also the Turbo Case X Dreamer and X Navigator, although that last one is a bit on the pricier side since it comes w/500w PSU.

Thats about all I see. Double check the Lexa and x-dreamer because I didnt see them specifically say it had a fan controller with it.

To be honest, I think you would be happier picking the exact case you want and then just adding a Temperature/fan controller to it afterwards. For instance this this or this(if your budget allows).

BTW I took some links from a Canadian site, so double check with newegg or whoever you use to check $US pricing. Good luck.

try frozencpu or the like

google "computer case window kits" and you will find many sites offering them

here they show $33 for buying the windowed side panel with 25cm Cooling Fan in choice of black or silver for Armor & Kandalf Full Tower Cases but it is showing out of stock at the moment.

it is so easy to cut your own and get a professional look you should try doing the window kits first.

Here is the thread talking about cutting side windows... The thing to do is use a Jigsaw with a fine tooth to cut the window. Then you use a dremel to sand the edges. Then you have different ways to put on the glass or plexy. Me, I'm going to use low grade grit sand paper (50) to ruff around the cut to use liquid nail to put on my glass.. It does sound like a lot to do but, it well worth the look. I hope you throw up some pictures of the computer and let us know how it goes. :toast:

it would be a mistake to limit your choices to cases that come with monitoring. i find many times they add them to cheap cases just to sell them so you may end up looking at a crappy case with a fancy good quality lcd control unit on it just because you like the control.

monitors with fan controls come in many choices ranging from $20 - $40 depending on the quality and how many things they monitor and control.

here is a nice little monitor control: http://www.directron.com/a5fatr2w.html

Yeah, I would just get a 5.25" temp monitor/controller so you dont limit yourself.

They will give you a custom laser etched plexi panel in the size you want.
Anything you want. You'll also need a window kit moulding to lock it in place to the hole you cut in the side panel. You can cut the hole in the case using a dremel.

Here's mine:

This is my old case. I recently got a Coolermaster 832 and the plexi panel now rests in an LED frame on top of my TV.
