CASIO Introduces Two Stylish New EXILIM Digital Cameras with "YouTube Capture Mode"
Plus Next-Generation H.264 High-compression, High-quality Movie Technology.
The Camera Models are the EX-S880 and the EX-Z77.

Norderstedt, July 11th, 2007 - CASIO Europe GmbH and its parent company, CASIO Computer Co., Ltd., announced today the release of two new digital cameras with the cutting-edge EXILIM Engine 2.0 image processing module. The 8.1 megapixel EXILIM Card EX-S880 and the 7.2 megapixel EXILIM Zoom EX-Z77 add enhanced movie functionality to CASIO's stylish series of EXILIM digital cameras.

The EX-S880 is the latest addition to the popular EXILIM Card series, known for its sophisticated design in a thin card size. The EX-Z77 joins CASIO's successful EXILIM Zoom series, whose excellent balance of superior functionality and stylish, compact look characterize the EXILIM brand.

Both new models come with a high-quality movie function that makes the most of next-generation H.264 compression technology. They also feature CASIO's new "YouTube Capture Mode", which enables users to shoot and save movies at the optimum size, quality and other settings for YouTubeTM, the world's most popular online site for sharing videos. CASIO has also included an exclusive software application that makes it fast and simple to upload movies to YouTubeTM.

The new cameras also feature a blur reduction function that uses motion analysis technology, an auto-tracking AF system, and face detection technology. The combination of face detection technology and the auto-tracking AF system ensures that, once the focus locks on to a person's face, it will stay sharp and maintain the right exposure, even if the person moves. CASIO has made it much easier to capture beautiful portraits.

Never really used any of Casio's cameras, but I must say the features in these new cameras look very appealing. Personally, I dont like slim and small cameras, to me, they feel odd and also "feel" like they are missing great features like an awesome lens and zoom function, cropping features, etc. For now, Ill stick to my handy Canon A540 Power Shot!

8.1 mp?! Dang, I want that. I WOULD like to have a camera with a great zoom on it, but for an slim and ultra portable camera like that with 8.1mp, it's more than worth it IMHO.

I've got the original s100 version of those cameras. Only 3.2mp but it's got lots of features and it's really compact. I imagine these versions will be thinner still.

LoL! Marketing is so gay. I bet loads of 13 year old girls are going to buy this camera for the you-tube mode.

All digicams w/video sport a you-tube mode. Alls it req is 320x240 (or less?) resolution, and terrible sound quality.
