Hi folks ;)

Tell me, is it possible to change your IP?

Broadband?

Yea, if you are patient enough & don't wish to go the route of using generally slower access of proxy servers....How?

Just don't use your computer during its current "IP Lease" session from your BSP & you will get a new IP when it renews once more.

Dialup? It's actually possibly BEST for this & NO PROBLEM especially:

That's simply because it's diff. each time (your IP address via dialup accounts) you "hookup"...

APK

If u got a router, just dont use that for a couple days and direct hookup to the modem, although this can become a flaw in your security, shouldn't be that bad for 3 days

It's for broadband i'm asking :)

So if i don't use the net a few days i get a new IP?

depending on the setup of your isp you either get a dynamic ip from a certain range on every reconnect, or you have a static ip

your isp does track the ip usage and give the info to law enforcement

If your ISP is giving you a static IP address you can always call them and have it changed. If a hacker is harassing you or something.

linksys routers have an IP cloner built into it, so you can "spoof" the mac address of your NIC onto the router.

With my ISP, I can release, spoof my mac addy, renew, and get a different IP because my ISP sees a different mac hooking in to the network.
