I am oc'ing an athlon venice 3200+ (2.00GHzstock), and the way i understand it, this is the goal.
using the fsb and cpu multi, get the core speed as high as it can (with temps and everything in control. not the crux of this post!) while at the same time, taking the fsb, multiplying it by the LTD (also K8->NB or DRAM Freq) and then multiplying that by 2. this is the ram freq, and for 939, should be as close to 2000 as possible.
so: fsb X LTD X 2 = 2000 (as close as possible!) and this is the mem freq
and fsb X cpumulti = 2000 (at stock) or higher depending on and this is the core speed
so it's a game of raising your fsb a bit, until your memory is overtaxed. then lower play with your multipliers, and raise the fsb again to make core high, and your final HTT (i think that's another term for mem freq, or i might have confused HTT and LTD. let me know!) should equal ~2000
let me know if i'm oversimpliflying or overcomplicating or i'm saying BS
thanks!
