May I just be the first to welcome TPU's new PSU reviewer? I hope this is the first of many quality reviews.

Honestly, it's a solid review and I can't nitpick anything. If I had to say something, I'd say this: You have a little less data than the outgoing reviewer (EMI noise etc) but that requires a large investment for very little meaningful return and I don't expect anything like that off the bat. Overall, great job coming into big shoes. I look forward to more.

If I may make a suggestion, could you do the tests at specific watt outputs instead of percentages? A 5% test will mean different thing for a 600W and a 850W supply. Instead you could do something like 25W, 50W, 100W, 200W, 300W, etc.. Such numbers would be directly comparable between different models.
Also I'd encourage the low watt efficiency test since when idling, most PCs nowadays operate at ~20-30W or less.

I agree a very low wattage efficiency test would be a nice addition.

Overall, this is a very nice review on an important component that gets little information/reporting in the tech industry.

Good job on this from the old man.:peace:

@suvirintojas - do you know which platform it is based on? (Seasonic, FSP, etc) or is it their own creation?

nl.hardware.info has low watt efficiency tests and even a database driven comparison list. It's not all in english, but easy enough to navigate.

Decent review! I remember chieftec used to have a good presence in North America, but haven't seen much from them in the past while.

A suggestion, perhaps add the OEM/ODM, if possible in the main table.

Edit the 120 euros - is that before or after taxes?

That's about $175 CAD!!

Only a 5 year warranty as well.

When i see that brand,

Dolby®, Dolby® Atmos and the Dolby logos (Dolby True HD, Dolby Atmos) are registered trademarks of Dolby Laboratories.

Iirc, 80+ specs explicitly list load % instead of set values. So it makes sense reviewers would look at the same marks. And that's fine, if I know how much power my system draws, I can figure out where it lands on that curve.
My only complaint (and that is generic, nothing to do with reviews) is that many systems idle a lot, so they'll sit in the least optimal zone of a PSU most of the time.

So, the reviewer's name means "welder", Google says, and that leaves a positive impression on me. Should handle kiloamperes and fireworks cold-blooded.

Very good review! For a long time I've been hoping to see more PSU articles on TPU...well done, Suvirintojas!
Also, it would be nice to know who the manufacturer is.
