Colorful Technology, known as a graphics cards provider, today announces its new case for global market, which is named Raynor Tower G3. It measures 195mm (W) 517mm (H) 535mm (D), most of the body is made of SECC metal. The Raynor Tower G3 equipped with a removable plate at the top of the chassis for creating perfect air duct. One of the sides has a large opening with dust filter which allows installing two 120/90/80mm cooling units.

In the rear, the PSU bay has been placed on the bottom, and above there are 8 expansion slots for PCI/PCIE devices installation. A 120/90/80mm exhaust fan and two openings for water cooling tubes are provided on the top.

Inside the G3, there are 9 bays for CD/HDD drives. The six 5.25 inches CD drive bays are independent from HDD drive bays, so that it will be completely eradicating resonance from hard disks. The other three bays are 3.5 inches HDD drive bays which can be extended by hard drive cages. In the mainboard tray, there are 10 cable management routing holes provided with black rubber stopper, to guarantees a clutter-free and safe installation. The internal area of the case is divided into two parts by the graphics card enhancer, which can prop up the graphics card stably to avoid deformation of those great length graphics cards.

The Raynor Tower G3 is now available in Asia, and will be available later for global market and suggested retail price of $139 USD.

Like the inside but the outside is pretty fugly imo. I'm ore for a clean design.

1. That middle graphic card support beam makes it look cramped inside and may get in the way of some CPU coolers.
2. What's that plate over the power supply for?
3. Not a fan of the big plastic thing on the top. Seems to me that it would hamper air flow.

good to see there are plenty holes for cable management, but those graphic card enhancer will only be usefull if we put triple slot cooler graphic card..

Now we just need a case named Hyperion.

1. But if your card is bending because of weight of cooling system? This rail for GPU can be deattached.
2. This is for creating different thermal zones in case. Antec style :-) and I love it.
3. This plastic thing does not allow dust to come into case and allows hot air to get outside. I have made something similar for my Fractal R3.

You need a dust filter to actually keep the dust out.
All that plastic serves no practical purpose anyways dust does not enter from there the top fan should be set to blown out anyways.

What bugs me is the quality of that plastic, they really do look cheap.
If they are to make plastic parts for the case at lease do it properly like SilverStone does...
I doubt Fractal uses cheap plastic like that either.

Plasic filters are good for intake air holes. For exhaust holes like on the top of case there is no need to put filter that does not allow dust to go outside. There is need for filter that does not allow dust to free drop inside the case when computer is disabled.

That is exactly what I was saying that cheap plastic top is useless. ;)

It will get in the way of 6 or 8 pin connectors that are placed at the side, that's for sure

1. My bad. Didn't see that it was detachable...:banghead:
2. I'd much rather have a fan there blowing in
3. I really don't consider that to be a filter.

Holy crap, J. K. Simmons in Taiwanese?!

But yeah, aesthetically this is on par with the recent Thermaltake Chaser and Coolermaster Storm Enforcer offerings. Is there some obligation to build terrible looking cases in 2011 or something?

must be, lets hope some nice ones come out of computex. silverstone better not let me down.

when i saw the title i was thinking Starcraft II, when I saw the case I was thinking Alienware.

Looks like a pretty sweet case. If I buy this, ima have to find a starcraft II logo to put on it.

Fugly as hell, but I like how you can place fans on top of the case and put the cover over it.

That case...

Is ugly as sin... shame :|

Honestly most of cases are ugly as hell. For me only nice looking are from Lian Li (brushed aluminium) or piano gloss cases from Thermaltake (LANbox Lite series).
