amd cpu mounting it the worst i don't know why its not complained about more and why amd hasn't changed it in so long. literally every time i take a cpu cooler off a amd cpu the cpu gets ripped out the socket and stuck to the heatsink. its beyond a joke and for that one reason alone ill never buy or suggest anyone to buy amd .

any tips to avoid this ( ripped the cpu out the socket )

Not gonna lie I’ve got a dead 3700X from the “suck” everyone says heat it up and lots of twisting but my water block doesn’t have much room to twist. Thankfully the replacement came straight out when I put in my current 5600X. I’d really like to repaste it but just dread pulling the block again
I REALLY hope AM5 has a new socket this ancient one has always been terrible...

AMD CPU installing/removal has been the same well over 15 years. To remove the cooler you need to twist it/move it around so the paste stops sticking. Keep doing it until your certain it's not stuck to the CPU too much, then remove.

If you have an old credit card or license (or something like that) and you can shimmy it in-between the chip and heatsink it helps break the bond. If you have a long enough thermal paste spreader that might work too.

Gimme the AM4 socket over Intel's LGA type anytime! Taking off the cooler isn't exactly rocket science. Warm the CPU up a little, power off, let cool some and then gently -- I'll say it again, GENTLY -- begin to twist the cooler while applying the slightest effort (you don't need to be rough here) as you begin to pull up on the cooler. Keep doing the gentle twist and pull method and the cooler *should* come off without issue -- or the CPU attached!

One of the tricks I learned with owning an AMD system is to clean any thermal paste off the processor BEFORE removing it from the socket. If you try to clean it after removal, inevitably you get thermal paste on the pins and they're a pain to clean off.
