I'm looking for a working condition record player I can add to my dad's component stereo system. The man has boxes upon boxes of 8-tracks and records and no way to listen to them, so that's what he wants for christmas. I found a decent 8-track player on Ebay, but I've already lost out on 5 record players because of being out bib(damn, $100 plus for a record player, plus shipping costs?!?!?!?). Anyone have one laying in thier closet or attic they don't need/use/want anymore without trying to rip me off. I can understand up to $100 including shipping, but $100 plus $25-38 for shipping also? That about what I would guess they were selling for new.

Dang, wish I could help ya out Barbaric!

Most of the kenwoods, Teac, and such were about $300 to $400 new. Of course you would think that now days people would damn near give them away. Not many people have vinyl record players anymore.

Those aren't even what's listed. I'm talking about Pioneer, Technics and Panasonic. The Kenwood's bid is at $204 plus $23 shipping with 53mins left and 17 bids placed. It'll be close to the $300 mark when it sells.

Hopefully someone here has one they'll let go for a "decent" price.

 wow, that is crazy man!!!!!!

Bump for an awesome member here folks!!! Lets help find this for him!!!!!:toast::toast::toast:

check out your local goodwill \value village\ voa u can find them cheaply.

I would go a diffrent route (depending on his technical level) but a record to mp3 converter would run around 100 at target.

This is a cheap unit, but it has RCA Line Outs so it could work.

Or maybe this one.
