Since the HP dm1z w/ AMD's Fusion E-350 APU was pretty much a disappointment for me, I'm going to put together a small desktop to lug around to college. I don't know exactly what I want at the moment, but here's a rough list:

Motherboard: FOUND
RAM: 4GB+ DDR3 - No thrills, no frills needed, it just has to pass 5 instances of MemTest86+ on stock settings.
PSU: 400W+ & 80+ Cert
CPU: FOUND
Case: FOUND
Heatsink: Something cheap like a Xigmatek HDT-12XX or similar
HDD: Something new & fast like a Samsung F3 or Seagate 7200.12

Shoot me a PM with details!

That statement tells me that you want an Intel based system right?

Have an MATX G31 board on my thread.

No brand preference really, Fusion was a disappointment for me but it's a great product for those who are looking for a decent laptop with amazing battery life. I just want something a little more powerful than that.

As for the G31 board, it's a little too old. I'm really looking for AM3/1156 or better since my previous build was 1156.

Had a full mini ITX deal fall through so back to this thread!

I just put in an order for an Antec 300 Illusion through Newegg and I'm picking up one of those excellent CPU + free motherboard deals at MC this weekend, so I'll no longer be needing a case, CPU, or motherboard.

Still need some other stuff, PM box open.
