confused on configuring graphics card

I know how to install it into the computer just don't know how to configure it. Says something about irq assignment in the manual could anyone explain what I should do? Heres my motherboard/vid card. Right now I'm just using onboard video.

You generally don't need to bother with IRQ assignments unless there is a conflict (devices not working). Disable you onboard video in the BIOS and you should be good to go.

So install the card, plug the monitor to the card? then go into bios disable onboard video boot up and install the video card drivers?

Just a question, how come I disable onboard video when the monitor wont be plugged into it?

Sometimes the cards will conflict with each other. I've personally always done it with all cards installed. video,nic and sound cards.
