Connect3d x850 pro AGP unlock?

i have an ati brand video card that isnt unlockable and it makes me want to die. so, i was thinking about buying this one http://www.monarchcomputer.com/Merc...e=M&Product_Code=190388&AFFIL=pricewatch&NR=1

Does anyone know if the Connect3d one is unlockable? ive searched around and have been unable to find information about unlocking this specific card. any help is very greatly appreciated. the sooner i can smash this stupid ati brand x850 pro with a 12 pound sledge (to match its number of pipes), the better. thanks.

C3D was the only brand with many cards which couldn't unlock. But the last months (from january 2006) some people report that bought cards which can be unlocked. I will recommend MSI X850PRO VIVO AGP or PowerColor X850PRO VIVO AGP, or ATI.

im never buying ati brand again. im so disappointed. so you say not to get the connect3d. do you know of any sites that sell cheap MSI or powercolor cards? i havent been able to find em for less than 250.

nevermind, i just ordered an x850 XT PE AGP brand new for 250, so whatever. if i unlocked the pipes i was gonna buy a new fan for it anyway, so it basically just ended up costing the same in the end. thanks for the help. =P

I bought a Connect3D x850pro last week and it unlocked fine to 16 pipes.

Havent got round to flashing to XTPE yet as im still on stock cooling.

It is nice to hear that C3D again sales "good" X850PRO VIVO AGP. Just in case that you decide to flash to X850XT or X850XTPE here my Automated Flash Utility for X850_AGP flash.

I flashed my card with your utility. Worked great. Only problem i have is that ATI Tools 3d view doesnt work and is properties>settings it shows up as Monitor on x850Pro - Secondry. Before i flashed it was just x850. Not exactly a problem but seems to stop ATI 3d view from working. Any ideas?

Probably I have made a mistake with the SubSystem ID on X850PRO BIOS. I will check and correct that in the utility. It will overwrite the image if there is problem . I need your feedback to correct some mistakes .
