hi ppl

jus a cuple questions about conroe

is it going to be AS good as it is being hyped up to be or is it just going to be another disppointment from intel agen?

plus what are the distinct advanteages of conroe? y is it "supposed" to be simply the best when it is out

and finally what are AMD bringin out to challng intel's conroe?????

Shouldn't be disapointed! It is definately a step ahead. But for myself I'll get a dual core on my AMD before I'll need a Conroe.

Alot of hype, no retail samples, I would not make the jump until it is out on the retail market with some decent hardware around it to support it. Right now, they are all engineering samples being used. I still have a very hard time believing they will allow the low end CPU's keep up clock for clock with the high end CPU's. That makes no sense. Your questions will be answered in August when they are available in retail form.
