I don't believe it's because their mechanical and think it's because they are usb. k200 would not last me a day never mind have my requirements.

I don't like having a keyboard tied to software that needs to run on either it or the computer. While I definitely dig the mechanical keyboard having a Rosewill RK-9100, I like how I know that I can plug it into any machine and it will simply just work. Less moving parts means less can go wrong. You could always try to replace a switch to see if it's the switch itself. I have no idea what you'll encounter when you open that keyboard though.

it will last you atleast a year or two. trust me. i really do a lot of heavy usage on this. not only me, but a lot of people come by to play. people who dont know how to treat computers.

its usb and it has no problems at all. everyone supports logitech

You don't need software to run either the Razer BW or the Ryos MK Pro. Although you do when you require functions like binding keys were you want them.

And it's not the dam switches..

Nothing to do with heavy usage wear or tear, it's more about devices not excepting other devices plugged in using usb.. So again that keyboard would die too.

Yes, and to bind them back you need the software. So if you unbind a particular key, say the letter "a", you would need the software to reset it. The same deal with many logitech mice that have bindable buttons because it gets stored on the device and it remembers it. A device that doesn't remember keybindings (something I don't need for typing, or even gaming when I do,) has no chance to get in a state where a key would get unbound. Either way, less moving parts still means less that can go wrong.

I don't really understand what you mean by this. A keyboard doesn't die because of any other device that's plugged into the USB hub unless the keyboard has a USB hub inside of it and you're using that for a lot of current draw (charging a tablet?) and even then I doubt that would be an issue. Could you explain this a bit more?

No actually. if you don't run the software you do not get the binds.

lugging in a USB keyboard in with a old tye connecter keyboard kills the USB keyboard over time. Thats the issue i have not cheaply made keyboard or what ever your on about.

You mean keyboards that use a USB to micro-usb like this one? I think some misspelling might be contributing to my misunderstanding. Unplugging and plugging USB devices will wear out the port over time, but other than that I'm still not sure what you're getting at.
