Hi I decided to upgrade my other grand daughters. Desktop specs are

Z490 Aorus Master motherboard

Intel Core i5-11600K (3.9 GHz / 4.9 GHz, 12M Cache)

Cooler Master Hyper H412R CPU Air Cooler

32gb Corsair Vengeance ddr4 3000mhz
Zotac geforce 1060 amp edition Corsair RM750 power supply
Samsung Evo plus 500gb ssd

When I start it it goes into a continuous loop start stop and clicking plus the little orange lights at the bottom right corner of the mono turn on and off in time with the clicking. I have tried re-seating the ram ,graphics card and checked the connectors in the bottom left corner, any ideas.

Breadboard the system, what ram slots are you using?

Is that cooler clip mounted or screwed?

Have you done a clear cmos first?

Also the first time the Ryzen Rig I built took time to boot up the first time. My Sig Rig did as well.

What's the clicking, usually the PSU main relay engagement IMHO, it could be power related, IE overload, possibly worth checking motherboard stand offs ,wires and PSU but in general as eidairaman said too.

Hi I have tried the ram in slots 1and 3 also 2 and 4, I have tried it in two different towers also in the tower with only the power supply and fans connected, and the cooler is screwed.What do you mean breadboard the system.

He means back to square one , motherboard on its cardboard box with minimal parts fitted.

I bet that you have freezing weather outside.
Disconnect the PSU from Mains. Use a hairdryer to inject to it hot air ( hairdryer low speed) for one minute.
When it feels as hot as 70C , connect the AC power plug, and try again.
If it starts? Start looking for electronics repair person, or buy a new.

it do sound like like a PSU problem or maybe a short some where and its triggering the protect.

Hi tried the mobo on the cardboard box the only thing that was connected was the. Cpu cooler fan and I had the same problem but the clicking was definitely coming from the power supply and the cpu fan started and stopped. I tried another small power supply no clicking and the cpu fan kept going and the power light at the top right of the Mobo was on and solid, would I be right in saying the power supply is the culprit.

Yeah, I would try more bits too IE a GPU in it, might as well see a bios screen then your getting there, was it an old PSU?.
