I have the stock cooler on my HIS 6950 2GB, and it allows little overclocking potential.

I don't want to spend too much, around/below the $50 mark.

I've narrowed it down to the Arctic Accelero Twin Turbo II
http://www.arctic.ac/en/p/cooling/vga/375/accelero-twin-turbo-ii.html?c=2182

and the Gelid Icy Vision Rev 2
http://www.gelidsolutions.com/products/index.php?lid=1&cid=17&id=52

What do you guys think?

Leaning towards the Gelid simply for the looks, performance wise the coolers seem to be similar, no?

Thanks in advance! :toast:

I have Gelid installed on my Sapphire HD6950 1Gb. It keeps GPU temperature below 68 C, after a few hours playing Battlefield 3, even though it's overlapped by Cretive X-Fi. Fans rotation restricted to a ~850 rpm by Scythe kaze master.
Just make sure to buy appropriate fan controler. Icy Vision louder then hell on the default 2000 rpm (but not so noisily like the Sapphire stock cooler though).
p.s. I got only 2 low rpm case fans. So with a propper case ventilation it could be even better.

Hi, I have 6950 with bios from 6970, I use “TriXX” program, for overclocking and fun speed. Very nice program, in Battlefield 3 with ultra settings I have about 37-40˚, with 6 fun coolers in case. You can try to grow your fun speed with this program.
