Things are looking upbeat at NVIDIA, and to feed that, Cooler Master is out with its latest NVIDIA-themed case, the HAF-X NVIDIA Edition. The company is known for making a wide range of cases themed after the GPU giant. The HAF-X NVIDIA Edition uses the HAF-X design overall, with a bright green frame, large patches of black, green colored internal parts (such as HDD trays), a green-illuminated front intake fan, and a green-tinted window with an NVIDIA "eye" streak. Measuring 230 x 599 x 550 mm, the case is designed to fit in standard ATX/MATX motherboards, as well as XL-ATX motherboards, such as the Gigabyte X58A-UD9 and the EVGA X58 Classified 4-way SLI.

Drive bays include five internal 3.5", with two of these supporting 2.5" and 1.8" drives, six 5.25" bays, of which one is a SATA 3.5"/2.5" HDD/SSD dock. The motherboard tray features a hole behind the CPU socket area for easy access to coolers with back-plates, the GPU holder rack can reinforce long graphics cards and minimize bending of their PCBs. Ventilation is aplenty. There's a 230 mm front intake fan, a 200 mm side-panel intake fan, a 140 mm rear exhaust fan, and two optional 200 mm top exhaust fans. Its front panel includes USB 3.0 ports, USB 2.0 ports, eSATA, FireWire and audio. The HAF-X NVIDIA Edition from Cooler Master is priced at US $230.

Now THAT is a lime green case. Way too green for my tastes. Too bad they don't have matching fan LED's the greens won't match at all!

Sweet Jezuz, that is a horrible shade of green. What the fuck were they thinking?

A case doesn't need to look good when it is targeting fanboys.
I take the original HAF over this any day.

I bet its UV reactive.. reminds me of a stripper wearing neon based undies

and yeah.. nvidia investors are optimistic, twas 12 dollars last month now up to 13.75, and still rising..

this is extremely suck :shadedshu

I puked a little, and I'm not sure whether it's a coincidence or not, but the color of my vomit is more or less identical to the green on that hideous case.

i like it to bad its not in the haf 922 i would get it.

this case has a lot of things in common with limes.

1. the color.
2. both burn your eyes

I would rather keep my stock HAF-X with AMD liveries, thank you very much.

Meh, coolermaster merely do this for the royalties. As long as they pump out good cases like they are at the moment theres nothing wrong in a little bit of trolling .

An aeon ago I actually had a case with a lime green front bezel, and it looked quite nice. I reckon this case would have been done better if it was lime + white and black, and not just the black which is quickly getting old...

I've puked up that color green before. This isn't just for any fanboy, it's for a "SUPER FANBOY"

I know I'm one of only a few, but I like it. Would totally replace my standard HAF-X with that if I had the cash. I'm not so much for the NV branding but I love the color.

wrong green color....

It's different...

EDIT: Couldn't it with a straight face.

Holyshat. This is UGLY. The color is just horrible! If it were dark-green it would've looked great, but this? EW!

i thought the nVidia green was a lot darker than this. I need to replace my retinas now

CM-690 nvidia was a lot better. This crap is fugly. Who wanted to buy a case that have glowing ghoul vomit all over them?

When are they going to roll out a new brushed aluminum flagship? Sure the Haf-x cools about as good as it get's but those bumpy plastic parts, flat black paint, multi stepped window panels... ugh. It has no class. It cost me $300 to hack together a Lian Li that will match this things airflow, I shouldn't have to do that. Brushed alum is just such an obvious direction to go in.

"Edition" cases suck, but this one just should never be allowed in 1st place....

Nvidia...hello....?

What's wrong with the ATCS840? 3x230mm fans (1-in, 2-out) + 2x120mm fans (1-in, 1-out). Full aluminum case and it also has what has to be the best removable motherboard tray ever.

Nvidia or AMD editions. they just suck i rather go for the original Haf-X, the original Haf-X has cooler looking and black is like an enthusiast colour, unlike these ugly 'Edition' cases

I am blind, help me I cant see.

That looks like a....like a...I can't even draw a comparison. Not even vomit looks that bad.

Though whatever colour they chose, I don't think turning the entire front & top faceplates to that colour would look very good.
