Someone posted recently that ryzen doesnt like odd numbered timings.
What I was coming to post. Couldn’t have worse default timings to fight with.especially on OG Zen

Hey :) So, good news - Corsair replaced the faulty kit with a new one. So-so news - It's the same type of kit, just a different memory version number.

The old kit was version 5.39 Hynix AFR (as per Thaiphoon Burner) or Hynix CJR (from online searches depends on which link I look at) and the new one is version 5.32 Hynix CFR or CJR (again this is from online, which shows conflicting ids depending on where I look).

Am trying to sell it to my local vendor at near market, because it is a sealed unused new kit. If that doesn't happen, I will put it in my AMD Ryzen 1800X (current) build and try to OC it to 3200 MHz. Here's to hoping for a good result. Most importantly, at least Corsair didn't ditch me :)
Hi,
It's tough but don't use it, just take a loss and move on to b-die 3200c14
