Hi,
Just wanted to share a strange behavior of my ASUS TUF Gaming B650-Plus when I installed it yesterday with my new shiny Ryzen 7 7800x3d.
After first boot it asked something about fTPM reset and then went to the normal first startup screen where it lists the CPU, ram, shows the Bios logo and usually shows the error messages.
It wanted me to press F1 key to enter Bios but keyboard wouldnt react to F1. Would not boot to Windows before I accessed the Bios. CRTL+ALT+DEL to reboot PC worked normally though.
Tried 2 keyboard on different USB ports but nothing helped.
Solution was to turn PC off and make a USB stick with latest Bios file (use biosrenamer.exe to rename the bios first) stick it in the Bios marked USB port in the back and press the Bios flashback button so long that it blinks 3 times. The blinking continued for like 2-3min and stopped after it had installed the Bios update (note: PC was not turned on during this, no fans spinning at least)
After I turned on the PC it updated something related to the AURA LED stuff and I think for the next 2 reboots it acted like before not letting me in Bios but soon after F1 started working and I could use my PC.
My mobo should have supported my new CPU out of the box so I really dont have no clue what the problem was.
Some folks on the web said they even had to buy a PS/2 connector keyboard to fix this problem, but I dont even have a port for that anymore.
Lost 2h troubleshooting this shit
