I was considering this quad core,are they worth the $?
Intel Core i7-950 Bloomfield 3.06GHz 4 x 256KB L2 ...

Woah there... just hold your horses... that is just a little too high on budget! :eek:

I would recommend this build. However, you can ignore the other items. They are just recommendation for playing high - end games... :toast:

Edit: The PSU is yours to decide... I don't know what you need for your game - galore. :)

Euro is indeed crashing, but which country are you based at?

178.87 dollars + freight from middle earth...ill buy from new egg(199 no freight) im from the Big Sky country

if u got the money for a upgrade this could be an idea:

attachment.php

MSI N450GTS-M2D1GD5/OC GeForce GTS 450 (Fermi) 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card (Open Box)

ino it's open box but still kind of an bargain i think, u can also just upgrade ur CPU du a 45nm Dual-Core or take the big jump for Quad-Core or new system, depends on how much money u got.

I've been doing some testing for my game clan to determine if some of the older rigs would play BlackOps. The e6750 and a 5770 seems to be about the minimum in the 775 platform that will run the game smoothly so far in my testing.

only core 2 quad cpu and new graphic card will be enough, just like q8500 or q8600 and 6850 or gtx460
your psu should hold without overclock but if u like overclock pick up some good psu for next move like , corsair 850 or xfx 850

other option u have budget so lets start building

case = depend ou
same psu i point before
m.b = gigabyte p55 ud3
cpu = core i5 750 or 760
ram =2x2g gskill
vga = 6870,gtx460,gtx470
cpu cooling = xigmatic dark night
hdd,ssd,dvd = your chose

my advice do first option and wait for sandy bridge release
and it's back to u
welcome

Maybe Im due for a new build...whats a good motherboard for a quadcorew build thats OC friendly and wont break the bank?

nobody else?

A little late to the party, but...

If you can find someone who lives near a Microcenter and is willing to help you out, Microcenter sells the 950 for $200, but it is in-store only.

is there one in Vegas?
