Hello, I own a Gigabyte G5 MF with an Intel Core i5-12500H and I am asking if it is possible to limit the frequency to 3800Mhz or any value from the 4500Mhz boost, or limit the wattage to 50W to significantly decrease temperature.

Setting the maximum frequency of the cpu from windows 11's Processor power Management in Power Options does nothing

My cpu spikes to 1.28 V being the maximum value and the lowest around 1.2 V

Post screenshots of the TPL and FIVR windows. Push the Restore plan defaults button in Power Options to reset the Windows 11 power management settings.

In the ThrottleStop TPL window, try checking the Speed Shift box and set Speed Shift Max to the desired speed you want your CPU to run at. Try using 38 for 3800 MHz.
This used to work great in Windows 10. Not sure how it works or if it works the same in Windows 11.

Works, thank you. However the temperatures in games are around 80-85 degrees with 30-35% usage of the cpu at 3800MHz tried to lower it to 3000Mhz spikes around 77 75 degrees

Any temperature under 100°C is a normal operating temperature for an Intel CPU. Over 80°C is not great for your lap but it is OK for your CPU.

The mobile 12th Gen H series run hot. The default CPU voltage is set quite high. Intel has removed CPU voltage control from these processors so there is not much you can do about the high temperatures other than slowing the CPU down which reduces performance. Voltage control used to be free. Now Intel forces their customers to spend significantly more money on laptops with HX processors if they want the useful undervolting feature.
