CPU Overclocking always crashing computer...please help

Pinchy, if you need any help, get me or infrared on msn... Infrared is a pro at prescott cores.
 
at the rate that technology is uping, i can afford it because i want a pentium d 805 anyways... its well worth it and anyways, u are the noob... i no more about overclocking than u probably because i spent 3 years trying to overclock over 4ghz... If u dont want to start a flame war shut the fuck up. In the bios there should be something like advanced settings or something.. that should be where u increase volts unless ur bios is for beginner and locked all those settings
 
rpg shut up, take it from a guy who knows intels, I got p4's all around this house, one xeon...... I got amd's also, flirting around with my other 478 system fried it from upping the voltage....
 
ok listen to him :ohwell: he seems to have had more intel builds than me in the 478 socket
 
All im saying is, even on my prescotts, I dont have more then an upped voltage of 1.51... Im not saying your dumb, Im just saying dont even try to go to 1.6 in my past experiences... Prescotts cant handle it

Pinchy has air cooling so even 1.51 may be too much.

ok now ur dum... the voltage is default at 1.5 volts so its POSSIBLE TO GO TO 1.51... its only .01 volts more... and air cooling u can go to 1.55 but if ur taking a risk, u can go to 1.6, he has a gigabyte cpu cooler... it would be better to get a thermaltake big typhoon or a thermaltake blue orb II or a thermaltake golden orb II
 
It's default at 1.3725 buddy :)

"Voltage range of 1.25-1.525" But don't go that high

P.S.=> Guys, name tossing's not necessary... it seems to be the fashion lately regarding RPG, but not needed... he may be right, he may not be, but opinions are possible & welcomed, right?

Lots of factors involved, & RPG does have the same CPU (but, binning matters, & quality of their CPU's though same model, could vary) & the mobo + BIOS being diff. DOES MATTER, imo @ least... apk
 
I don't even think he has that computer in his specs....
 
u dont believe i have 2 hds in raid and a HIS x800gto and a p-4 3ghz to 4.7ghz cpu and...

And you say you have a 102Mhz OC on your ram...
 
not that hard to get a 100+ oc in ram... raise ur latencies and ur set ;) also the volts... do u want me to take a picture of my 2 hds? wow... ive never met one as stuborn as u...

So, I posted pics @ that request (crappy pics imo, rushed) of it before being ready to (for the casemod galleries here)!

E.G.-> I wanted more lights inside (etc. aesthetics in place & DEFINTELY A GOOD DUSTING & maybe some "armor all" for shine too) first.

Still, it dispelled ANY doubts, whatsoever... worth doing! apk

I believe your sys alec... It's just RPG has bs'd so much in this forum. He had "7800rpm" in his sys specs then when I confronted him about it he changed i t and was like "wtf are you talking about" and then I was like "Look at your second rpm speed, forgot to change that" and Infrared has a screenshot of that I believe so yeah...

Watch he's going to go thru the CPU-z database and steal someones.

Heck - I won't "argue against" because I don't follow his posts very closely!
