cpu overclocking

Processor i5 2400
Motherboard asus p8h61mx
Memory 8 gb ddr3 1300 mhz
Video Card(s) nvidea gtx 1050 2gb
Storage 600GB HDD
hello everyone
im new at overclocking, i have an i5 750 i overclocked it from 2.66GHZ-----> 3.20ghz without adjusting the voltage, temps 65c at load and 40c idle and everything is just so perfect
but i heard that i need to overclock my ram after overclocking the cpu.
is it true and how so ?
-my rig
cpu: i5 750
motherboard: msiH55ME33
ram: 8GB ddr3 1066 ram

There is no need to OC the ram.

Check with CPU-Z what it's currently running at.
You can try to change the FSB/Ram ratio in the BIOS or leave it at the speed it runs now and just try different timings.

There is no need to OC the ram.

Check with CPU-Z what it's currently running at.
You can try to change the FSB/Ram ratio in the BIOS or leave it at the speed it runs now and just try different timings.

i already checked with cpuid and the cpu was running at 3.20GHZ
i was only worrying about ram
