Hi,
At the moment I have an e2160 with a stock FSB of 200Mhz. I have OC'ed it to 266Mhz. Any higher than this on the FSB and with Sync on the PCI-E slot frequency starts increasing. My question is, if I get a new CPU with a stock FSB of 266Mhz, if I OC this by FSB, will the PCI-E frequency increase in the same way as a CPU with a stock FSB of only 200Mhz.

Thanks.

can you lock your pci-e at 100 ??

Yeah, but just wondered, also, I cannot get current CPU stable at 296 fsb. Would a new one with stock fsb reach 296FSb as it is only a 30MHz OC as opposed to a 96Mhz OC.

Thanks.

By the way i should mention, this is based on the system in my sytem specs.

Well that mobo isnt that good of an OCer.

But have you tryed upping the volts on the cpu and nb ?

There some ppl on here that gotten 3+GHz with that cpu but with a diff. mobo

nb? And the volts are locked on this mobo. Only FSB changes on this mobo.:ohwell:
Going to get an e6600 an hopefully OC it to 2.6ghz, or just leave it, stock is will be better than my e2160 @ 2.4ghz.

Thanks.

You might want to get a better mobo before that e6600 ;)

cuz it just has more L2 Cache for that price of that e6600 you can get a lot better mobo, which well be better in the long run as you can get one that well suport the new 45nm cpus and oc that cpu you have to hold you untill the 45nm are out
