CPU temperature at 100 degrees in BIOS

I turned on my PC and saw that suddenly the fans of my liquid cooling were going too fast, I decided to go into the BIOS and I saw that the temperature of my CPU went from 40 degrees to 100 in just one minute and the fans were going at 1900 rpm. I thought that the liquid cooling was not making contact with the processor so I checked it, also changed the thermal paste just in case but everything remained the same. I have been searching for information on the internet and I still haven't found any solution, it's been like this for 2 days. I hope you can help me because the PC is only 4 months old. I'm going to leave the components of my computer below. Please help.

Hi,
Sounds like your pump is dead
Check it's connections to the board and get ready for rma if it's connected correctly.

Use hwinfo64 "sensors only" to see if the pump has any rpm

HWiNFO - Download

Easy test is install a air cooler.

If the pump is not running, then the system will overheat in Windows very quickly. The pump uses a 4pin which should be connected to a fan header.

Is the 4pin of the pump disconnected? How high is the RPM of fan header where the pump is connected to? Did you try to force that header to provide 100% PWM or power?
In somecases air can be present in the pump. Can you make a picture how the pump and radiator is installed?

Usually a badly seated cooler resulting a not optimal thermal transfer.
Also this model doesn't have a 4 pin Pump header, i would not expect any issue on the 4pin cpu header but depends on the Tempest Liquid Cooler 240 RGB

Hi,
Looks like you don't have the cooler hooked up to the cpu fan port
You have the top of the case fans hooked to cpu fan port ?

Man... are those bracket cpu support plates forcing on top of the LGA package....
I only see compatibility for AMD AM4 / FM2 / FM1 / AM3 + / AM3 / AM2 + / AM2

NOT LGA1700...

Yeah looks like the op is trying to shock the monkey with those bracket so close to the caps

I haven't looked at a aio in years
But last I saw they should have a usb connection for power and fan port connections for the rad fans.
But fan ports should go to the cpu fan port.

And yes he saw that the cooler had 3 pins (NO PWM, so he plugged to the Sys_FAN... and the top fans onto the CPU_FAN...

@VuurVOS
That's a "Spectacular" manual don't you think
The truth is that I don't know much about computers and I bought it already assembled, are you saying that it is bad connected?

Move the connectors as in the arrows, if you can, go into the bios and set the pump/cpu fan at 100% Also, check if the top metal mount, is touching the capacitors above the CPU socket, if they are, then return it as the cooler is incompatible with the CPU socket LGA1700

The top metal frame isn't touching, there's a gap between them. I moved the cables and after turning on the pc after a few seconds I heard the liquid do something strange and I turned off the pc xd.

I turned on again and the temperature now is at 30º C, i think you save me. But i have one more question, is it normal that when you turn it on it is about 50-60 degrees and that in about 15 seconds you can hear the refrigeration liquid and then it goes down?

It will be normal as it probably takes some seconds for the cooling to kick in when you first boot it. At least it is ok now, but try and set the CPU fan to 100% speed in the bios.

Hi,
So where exactly did you buy this machine that doesn't know how to hookup a aio cpu cooler so we may avoid at all costs lol

Plus why it's not returnable for issues like this and any upcoming in the future most call this a warranty and usually at least 1 year is the norm.

If the pump is not running, then the system will overheat in Windows very quickly. The pump uses a 4pin which should be connected to a fan header.

Well op said it went from 40 to 100c in bios so I believe this is even worse than in the os.

Secondly Op or builder in this case should of used the CPU fan port not a case fan port
Brain fart builder issue.
AIO in question is cheap junk bottom line there is no usb2 or 3 connection for additional power.
Op should look into a traditional air cooler so many better options than this aio.

I chose the pieces from the sort and they assembled them for me, I bought them from a Spanish website called pccomponentes.com, and I can't return it because I don't have the box anymore, since it had been 4 months without giving any problem and I thought I wouldn't have to keep it anymore.

Hi,
Welp maybe get with the assembler and get them to install an air cooler
These are near impossible to screw up mounting.
Testing here find one available in your region

I've screwed it up, now it doesn't matter where I put the wires it's going to give me the same problem all the time. Now I really don't know what to do.

After a BIOS flash the fan curve is likely set back to default. You need to configure the fan curve for the pump! Please put it to 100% for every temperature!

The problem is that now the CPU_FAN does not appear in the BIOS, although if it is connected, I cannot hear the cooling pump running either.

Put the connectors how i showed you.

You need to go into the bios and find the fan setup/settings. I don't know gigabyte bios or i would have an idea where it would be.

Find the CPU fan settings, set it to 100% speed.

If it was working fine for 4 months, then started causing problems without any warning, that's a pretty clear sign of some sort of hardware failure, probably the pump failure that ThrashZone mentioned in the very first reply.

Take it back to whoever assembled it. Pre-built PCs generally have some sort of warranty if the shop wants to stay in business.

I turned on again and the temperature now is at 30º C,

It seemed my initial advice fixed it, but the bios flash has reset the settings. Maybe the pump is working but needs the header setting at 100% instead of a probable silent curve.

I think you are looking at the wrong place in the bios. Can you make a photo where you are trying to configure the fan speed?
