Crysis giveitem cheat not working

I beat Crysis earlier but now I want to go through it causing all kinds of carnage. I looked up the Crysis cheats and found out how to use the giveitem cheats. It went like this...
con_restricted = 0
i_giveitem GaussRifle

and I didn't get a Gauss rifle. I'm using version 1.2, I don't know if that would make any difference?
 
First off

I had the same problem to. What you do is Type in the I_giveitem in the Console(Diff easy-notepad) and then Goto the Crysis Icon. Right click and click Properties. Go into Devmode(On the place that says Target type at the end (space) -Devmode. Then save. Click game and it should have these weird numbers and writeing is the top right cornor. Then start a level. once you are playing press `( its the button above Tab and below Esc). Then type in I_giveitem GaussRifle and it should work.
