I bought crysis over steam and noticed it was running at patch version 1.1 and I was wondering how i could patch it to 1.2. I downloaded the patch but it won't install, so is there a way to patch it?

Crysis or Crysis warhead? Because as far as I know for Crysis you need patch 1.2 and then hotfix 1.21.
If you downloaded the hotfix it won't install without the 1.2 patch being installed first.

Original Crysis, I downloaded patch 1.21, was going to install that but it didn't work.

Download the 1.2 patch first, 1.21 is just a hotfix and requires 1.2 to be installed.

Download this first
ftp://largedownloads.ea.com/pub/patches/Crysis/Crysis_Patch_1_2.exe
Install and then your 1.21 patch should work.

I got 1.2 and it gives me an error saying it can't find the place where crysis is installed (paraphrasing).

i think the error is because of u got downloaded game and there are 2 kind of patches for retail and for downloaded version of games.retail is when u bought at shop but downloaded is your version so u need to find patch for downloaded verson of game.u probobly i trying to patch with retail parch.

I'm gonna look around for a specific patch to the downloaded version..
Steam doesn't even have a update option for crysis.
