CSGO and the state of PC multiplayer gaming.

Weapons like Kriss Vector and AK12 actually stabilize better under full fire than under single fire or burst conditions. So that's not entirely true. And for P90 you mention, similar thing applies. P90 hardly has any recoil because the recoil force goes pretty much straight into the shoulder. Only thing ruining its accuracy is slightly shorter barrel. But it's probably by far the best in class when it comes to such compact weapons. At 10m range, even full auto emptying of entire 50 round magazine should deliver outstanding accuracy. The weapon is otherwise effective up to 200m.

I play only deathmatch since I get so damn nervous if playing some "serious" mode, and I'm the last one alive and everyone spectates me and says all kinds of crap... even that I've played CS for a loooong time (had a loooong break as well)..

Do what i do and go full aim hack mode except it's just focus.

Need moar practice :D years ago headshot from another side to another in d2 with AK wasn't even special.... now? Hell no..!

I think the most fun rank i was in was DMG, not too high skilled but not bad either.

Enjoy epic AK spray down on Dust 2 @ 6:30

Curious that CS:GO was chosen to represent the state of PC MP gaming...

Excuse my ignorance, but, is it really that popular?
And I'm curious that discussion has been limited to FPS games as if they represent all of PC multiplayer gaming...

Is the genre really that popular that it overshadows all others?

I wonder if this whole thing with FPS gaming is related to the same issues discussed in the What is wrong with people? thread.

Genre choice is now a mental issue?

More that I think it exacerbates it. The desire to win/gloat and gratuitous cheating to do so aren't that far off from each other. It seems stronger in FPS than in say, RTS, MMORPG, MOBA, racing, or fighting games.

CS is a different beast to almost any other FPS out there, you could be world champ in COD and become only a Gold Nova after 10 wins in CS competitive, with high competition comes the drawbacks, and yes cheating is also in every other genre, people cheat in GTA Online which is a skilless game and is casual fun....

So true, even if some think CS is just a CoD game. So far from the truth. The best CoD players in the world get smacked around by even the most average players in CS. They dont understand having to stand still to shoot accurately.
