OFFICIAL Cyberpunk 2077 Game Discussion

It makes sad that this game is getting bashed so badly, this game is buggy yes but its so damn good.
The story (that I've experienced so far) has been pretty good, and the side quests are fun too. I can forgive some of the more minor graphical bugs (floating items, etc). I see a lot more people complaining about the overall design of the game itself. I think a lot of people wanted it to be more of an open-world game like RDR2. Why can't I go gamble at the pachinko machines? Why can't I pop into the shooting range without a specific sidequest for a shooting competition? Why can't I upgrade my apartment (or get a higher-end one)? I think people are frustrated that for something that was marketed as an open-world, sandbox RPG game, it feels awfully on rails.

Anybody having performance issues with a 2070S? My buddy is getting 10-20% usage on his 2070 Super at 1440p. He's rocking a 3600 and a 2070 Super. Full build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/wdR92V
He's running the latest Nvidia drivers. Tried changing the memory and VRAM pools in the config as per the reddit post that was shared with no luck. Not sure what exact settings he's using, believe I remember him saying he has DLSS on.

Close but no cigar, we know she's playing for other team

yes but RTRT is available on console using AMD hardware
It isn’t right now is it? I thought that was coming in a later update, and that right now the next gen consoles were just running the same build as the current gen consoles with some things like textures and AO turned up.

Yeah, I really like the hacking mechanics.

Did the mission where you infiltrate the Cloud or whatever to interrogate Woodman about Evelyn. After killing him and collecting the bounty, I found a server room and used a computer to disable all of the goons in the area with Contagion and Short Circuit. It was great, switching between the cameras, distracting the guys, and getting them with the hacks. Plenty of good loot too.

Well that's new just had the first crash not a CTD but the game just locked up 20 feet inside the warehouse at Arasaka on the way to infect the float

mmmhhhhh? but the two following console (nothing next gen about them aside the storage on the PS5) are RT enabled ... well then if CP2077 does not use RT on Ps5/XoneSX console even "for now" ... that's weird ... although it's not like RT specially in the form of RTX is something really essential or "the next best thing in gaming"... i saw games with reflections done almost as good and not tanking FPS for it (well .... should not have to take a hit on FPS for something trivial) alright, enough talk about minor tech, ok now i go "is DLSS2.0 a nVidia thing or AMD can do it toooo???" (joking joking) .... at last that one is a major improvement and is actually useful in gaming, well i am repeating myself ... let's stop that

well the consoles issue seems to be AMD cpu management related if it's anything like the PC... and like the news mentioned i hope it was/is really unintentional

well so far so good, zero game breaking bugs, got a bug upon reloading a save and the loot from the dead cops was still on the ground and the NPC count was doubled with half of them still cowering in fear but that was more hilarious than annoying, my only gripe in the end : the NPC ... environmental are awesome, NPC's .... unless being involved in a quest ... are lackluster, the ventriloquism syndrome is, yeah, it is annoying ... but hey, immersion breaking is not game breaking.

to me CDPR suffered the "no man sky syndrome" (well NMS is turning out quite good right now) and the "Anthem syndrome" but unlike Bioware, CDPR are not "backed" (read "hindered") by EA and let's hope Bandai Namco will not turn that way... and i hope CP2077 will turn out like TW3.

one prerequisite for a game for me .... : Nexus listing and active community

Walk "fix"

Vehicle fixes

performances patcher and fix

and the usual load of reshade preset and co

Hah, yeah. Just did that yesterday, too. I've been way too busy just roaming and doing all those NCPD encounters and random gigs, still got a journal full of sides lol. But, Street Cred capped and level 31... :D

Hahaha lol I failed that job, said it wasn't my thing when the initial quest turned into a 'is my wife cheating' affair. Felt way too cool for that... missed a bit of content :D

Yeah it's really sad. On my first attempt I cleaned out everyone in that room because honestly, they all deserved that.

Yeah Johnny has some great lines in that quest.

tested the vehicles fixes i mentioned above

driving is way more enjoyable now :D specially with the Arch, as for performance fix and patcher hum not really needing them for now...

interesting : peoples mention the game underuse their CPU or GPU ...

Me:
1608121177201.jpg

and all core at 100% (well 93-100 )checked in task manager and HWinfo64

lowered to medium/custom settings from high, it "was" running smooth at console level aka 30fps (well 30fps is technically playable but 55-60 is a tad better for fast paced games )

C# keeps surprising.

Also running 2070 super in 1440p with newest drivers and no problems. safe to say 10-20%usage is his issue but I have no idea why it would be doing that

That's cool and all that people are finding ways to make the game run better, I'm tempted because my cpu is definitely being underutilized but I'm gonna wait it out for a word from CDPR. back allex fixes are unacceptable for a game that just sold 8 mil copies before release. I would much prefer they get their heads out of their ass and optimize their own game.

I choose to go with Johny behind the wheel. I think best decision from my point of view. I am guessing in the upcoming Spring 2021 DLC will play the rest - where V is about to enter that space station

@Cvrk
Damn it! I'm really falling in love with your screenshot! :rockout:

So... I'm running a legendary netdriver cyberdeck now and apparently you can hack entire buildings with a single press of the button.

Game was already easy... but now? I think I need to move to highest diff for a challenge.
Normal isn't just a breeze... and its not just because the AI is half broken either... this can definitely use some rebalancing altogether. I thought it was just blades minmaxed to oblivion making it all so simple... but it seems to go for anything you focus on.

I'm enjoying the game but man is it getting sploded by the console people online

Highest difficulty feels pretty good. Esp if you try the street brawler missions too early you get your butt handed to you :D...

Saw that the cyberdealer had the filament whip from shadowrun, going to try it out.

@crubino do you have the game? You can pull off much better work than this. At the moment I am editing...need to get the review out on YB (i'm late as it is). When I played Witcher 3 i really took my time with the screen asked @rtwjunkie

Tomorrow I will explore the other 2 options left when finishing the game. Don't think that I am spoiling anything when I say there are multiple ways of finishing - I guess everyone expected this.
----------------
I felt like overall Witcher 3 was more for children...In a way. Sure it had sexuality, crime, some political intrigue, nudity (almost) and horror quests where you had to undercover crime scenes - still felt less "serious" at times like a fairytale for young-adults.

Cyberpunk is dark. I almost never ever smiled during the 40+ hours it toked me to finish. Everything is adult. Everyone has problems. The city is full of misery and despair. All people are sad. Drugs, crime, hunger for money, corruption, and more crime.
You don't get the forests and mountains in Witcher to admire - as in my screens - it's just a polluted city, where one can almost here the noise of cars, an infinite amount of people ,cars etc
Nothing is ever fun, all is business. The dialog is at best sarcastic not funny. But most of the time just serious talk and sadness.

---------
I remember Dragon Age Origins 2009. The end of the world was coming and your hero was in the middle of it all. By the end you lose everyone including your own kid who you had it made just to be sacrificed as a backup plan. Yet that one still felt fun, and lots of good times.
Cyberpunk is just....too serious. Too sad. Too just like real life, with tech that will probably have in 50-70 years from now on. Night City is New York, or LA or London

I feel like it's the dystopian bladerunner/1984/equilibrium style - With Witcher it was a fantasy world so you dissociate a bit more from reality, whereas this is much more immersive and true to life that you don't get that "this is all a pretend let's go slay a Griffin" when you're trying to non-lethally put down a bunch of psych-infected hobos.

@phanbuey it was always lethal. knowing how much damage they did to the city and the hard working people around.
Cyberpunk 2077 was ONE huge lethal act for me. From the beginning things are clear: V doesn't' get a happy ending (or maybe) - so I was determined to take as many as I could with me

but i am using zero performances fixes, raw install just with patch 1.04 the only tweak in installed is the vehicle handling fix, and 100% on CPU/GPU like that

got a Kusanagi Yaiba CT-3X :rockout: zooming the badlands is fun, less traffic and that's a requirement for a roadrunner beast like that
photomode_16122020_152812.pngphotomode_16122020_152820.png
wanted that one ever since i saw it xD and it popped in my "hey you i have a vehicle for sale!" questlist
1608137074937.png
ah i have a cameo in the game ... or not ... still missing a S to be my name
photomode_16122020_133720.png

for a NPC to not be a generic ventriloquist they need to be either enemy or barmaid ...

did you just say you are using zero fixes immediately followed by 2 fixes that you're using?
