Still no FSR fix. What a bummer.

nevermind, forgot I had mods installed. Carry on!
Riding the metro, which I hoped was loading screen-less but alas

also just saw the full patch notes: "Cyberpsycho Sighting: House on a Hill - Fixed an issue where Peter Greene's body was still highlighted after scanning." :eek: let's hope!

For the mod users, CET has been updated.

Ray Recontruction can now be used with normal RT mode

In Dogtown, there are a trio of Barghest non-cop bozos loitering around the Dogtown Gate. Not the main one that's closed but the only one working where you get scanned and blah-blah-blah. Am I the only one to get this trio ALWAYS aggroing on me causing Barghest cops to trigger the wanted level, ultimately not letting me leave Dogtown? And yes, I don't have any mods, I don't touch anyone and my file integrity is checked so many times I don't even bother to count. Let's say CDPR owe me a million for my attempts to fix their game.

D-town is a great place, not gonna lie, but these game breaking bugs are just utter bollocks. Is QA really the ultimate curse word for game developers?

So, I have a spare 2013 Mac Pro laying about, running Windows 10 LTSC. E5-2667 v2 (8c/16t 64GB DDR3 ECC Reg RAM, 2x AMD FirePro D300 2GB which run in crossfire mode)
For various reasons mostly related to humor value, I'd like to try to run Cyberpunk 2077 on this, just to see what happens. Running it at baseline (low settings) I get ~20 fps, which is to be expected I suppose, but any ideas which settings to tweak (if any) in the graphics options to improve this?

Is the game beautifull ang good ?

Create an .ini file in <gamedir>/engine/config/platform/pc, give it any name that's not already occupied.

Copy this and paste there and see if the game becomes snappier:

[Crowd]
UseFrustum = false

[CrowdMovement]
SingleThread = true

[Rendering/MeshLoading]
AutoRefreshTime = 2.500000
LoadingDelay = 1

[Streaming]

EditorThrottledMaxNodesPerFrame = 99999
MaxNodesPerFrame = 320
MaxStreamingDistance = 10000
MinStreamingDistance = 0.800000
MaxStreamingObserverHeight = 8.000000

TimeLimitAttachingPerFrame = 999.000000
TimeLimitSectorLoadPerFrame = 999.000000
TimeLimitSectorUnloadPerFrame = 999.000000
TimeLimitStreamedPerFrame = 999.000000

ObserverVelocityOffsetEnabled = true
ObserverMaxNonAirVehicleForwardVelocity = 20.000000
ObserverMaxOnFootForwardVelocity = 5.000000
ObserverMaxAirVehicleForwardVelocity = 0.000000
RadiusNearSecondaryRefPointAddend = 1000.000000

[Editor/Streaming]
ForceAutoHideDistanceMax = 10000.000000

[Streaming/Culling/AutoHideDistanceNear]
Enabled = true

[Rendering/AsyncCompute]
BuildDepthChain = false
DynamicTexture = false
Enable = false
FlattenNormals = false
LutGeneration = false
RaytraceASBuild = false
SSAO = false

[WaterSimulation]
UseAsyncComputeFFT = false

Beware that game will become even uglier after doing so. And don't think it'll win you a couple dozen FPS. +7 FPS is an effin lot. You really need a more powerful PC for this game.

Certainly, I wasn't expecting 60fps on a 10+ year old PC, this was more an exercise in what could be done

that dip to 33 fps :( Also I prefer a crowed city over RT.

if u are using DLSS quality, yes it will be....

but, not if u are using DLSS auto.....

Still no FSR fix. What a bummer.
what's the issue with FSR? artifacting? (if yes i did not notice any major artifact while testing )

just ran a bunch of bench prior to restarting a fresh corpo run (i did and finished Street kid and Nomad before 2.0 )
well i can run 1620p30 without FSR and RT on Psycho preset or 1620p60 with FSR on Balanced and RT on Ultra

my previous RX 6700 XT + R5 3600 would run it 48fps max 1440p without RT or FSR :laugh: (when i bough CP2077 i had a GTX 1070 and a 6600K :laugh: )

glad i upgraded my CPU/GPU/RAM :D

They definitely need to work on cops some more and revoke one of the changes made.

The police whilst chasing me kill more civilians in 5 minutes than I killed in entire playthrough. That's not realistic as they should've beat my record in 2 minutes.
The police start chasing me after I kill a mad civilian in act of self defence. Are my 2nd amendment rights no more?

what's the issue with FSR?

INSANELY noticeable trails behind vehicles and, very much rarely, some other objects moving faster than you jog. That is a 2.02 screenshot but as of 2.1, the situation is still the same. Wasn't the case pre-1.62 so you get it how long they tryhard to ignore this issue.

I live not really close to Haiti and I'm not entirely sure as to what is up there but I've became curious because Voodoo Boys seem something more than just a loosely based gang, I think they have more in common with real Haitians then it appears at a first glance. Any Haitians or experts to confirm that? Are VDBs a real possibility? Or are they too caricaturical?

with the latest patch you can no longer enable rt on 1660super. it crashes.
also I've already seen 4-5 damn bugs. this game will never be bugfree.

you can no longer enable rt on 1660super
That wasn't even intended to run in the first place. 1660 Super is not a hardware RT ready GPU.

rt is also open on gtx 1080, it's the game that's buggy. with the previous patch it worked smoothly, only rt reflections significantly lowered the fps.
it is accelerated on shaders and not on dedicated hardware.

Still no FSR fix. What a bummer.
CP2077 will want AMD to do all the work and send them a single .dll file with all the fixes included, despite it needing access to the dev tools on their end and testing to actually work.

It's shocking how often FSR and DLSS are so poorly implemented when games launch, even when theres a huge fanfare about them beind added post-launch they're usually terrible without a few updates.

Seriously now?

CDPR implemented FSR in their game by themselves and they did it right before 1.62 when things went south, AMD have nothing to do with all that looseness. CDPR have to fix what they've broken, not AMD's fault.

I think the major difference is with DLSS a user can easily try multiple versions of it till one works best for them with FSR you have to rely on mods or the developer to implement it properly.

Despite dlss ray reconstruction clearly providing superior temporal stability, aswell as better performance, i absolutely loathe the look it gives... it makes it look like a cheap AI generated image. (dlss ray reconstruction on the right, with the wierd ai image looking outlining, and other wierd stuff)
