Was browsing the forums, saw someone replied to a comment I posted and bam.. TPU gone :wtf:

It just now started to load again. Little server / routing f*ckup?
Wasn't loading at all from Germany (home) and France (server).

Anyone else?

Thank you for your patience. We had a major outage at one of our data centers. They have since restored service and I am able to ping and SSH into your server without issue.

At 18-Mar-2012 11:06 UTC The front-end customer router fcr04.dal01 crashed/rebooted. Servers behind this device would have lost public Internet connectivity.

The router came back online after it completed a reboot at 18-Mar-2012 11:17 UTC, at which time most customer services had resumed. Network engineers are investigating a few remaining racks which are still offline, and working on restoring full connectivity.

everything should be back to normal

That was a quick reply :respect:

i saw the outage as well, just thought it was a net problem on my end.

Some resources from tpucdn.com were failing to load. The page was getting loaded but it was waiting on various javascript and css files. I emailed W1zzard, but by the time I did, this was already on its way to being fixed.

Thanks for the quick response and fix, W1zzard.

i thought mu switch was RTOing.. but then i saw it wasnt. guess it was TPU.

Some JS and CSS resources weren't loading because an external site (external to techpowerup.com that is), wasn't responding. If you waited long enough those resource would time out and the page would load. All better now, thanks to W1zzard. Swift should be W1zzard's middle name. :p

tpucdn.com lives on our database server (at least right now. we used to have a real CDN for it but decided to not continue with them)

TPU at night and/or evenings (+1 zone) is often problematic for me.
