Data request: System boot times from cold to desktop!

I think mine has fast boot on. Pc is pretty fast, boot is pretty slow

Both Gigabyte motherboards, and I am seeing a trend of them booting quicker than MSI.

Got basic system specs and tim from cold, pressing button to login/desktop, as per Chrispy's above.

I think that time was a cold boot to login for @FoulOnWhite, looks like the system in his profile's system specs.

Just another data point at the office:
MSI B550-A Pro + 5950X + 4x32GB Crucial DDR4-3200 CL22 w/ JEDEC SPD auto timings + RTX 3060 12GB + SN570 Gen3 boot SSD
20 secs just to POST, then another 12 secs to boot W10, so 32 secs total from button press to login.

I don't have any spare AM5 boards to test right now, next batch of 8 Gigabyte AM5/Ryzen 9 parts arriving 2nd week of Feb.

Boot times also depend on your BIOS version. With my board, it was dead slow before circa v 1.50, and was quick as any other system afterwards. I've recently updated to 1.90 or something, and it's slow again, not to mention SoC voltage is back at 1.3 V which was fixed before. I don't know why MSi has to break stuff that's worked before. So that's it, no more EXPO with 6000 MHz RAM for me. I don't see any benefit of it, being GPU-limited basically all the time anyway.

Double checked it just then, 22 seconds from button to Asrock onscreen, 12 seconds more to windows

@TheLostSwede @ir_cow @W1zzard

Can I be given the ability to edit the OP so I can collate the data? or failing that would one of you create a google sheet and I will request edit perms.

I have to login first so depends on how slow I enter my password in the morning....

I stop watched my B650E Taichi lite (7800X3D) with Trident Z Neo cl30-6000 (2x 32 gig) and it was 38 seconds from memory (no pun intended) a while ago.
Evening, if your able can you measure how long from cold toi seeing the bios and then from there to windows desktop. I can then add this to the OP.

23 to seeing the logo, then another 12 to desktop.

Not sure why but it's a few seconds quicker than my first timed run.
